OVER 70 YEARS AGO
Riverwood Anglican Church has been a part of the community for over 70 years. First established in 1947, the church grounds have experienced its fair share of building development. The original church building is now the back hall. Further buildings were added to accomodate the growing congregation. Pictured is the opening of the now rectory onsite.
A CELEBRATION OF FAITH
Riverwood Anglican has always been deeply involved in the community around it. From community buses to mother’s groups, a lot has happened on the church grounds.
A HOUSE OF FAITH
From its start, the Saints at Riverwood have sought to sit under the Bible. This has included a number of faithful ministers over its long history. In the list (pictured), you can see some who have served in our history.
A COMMUNITY OF BELIEVERS
Many things have changed, but Riverwood Anglican continues to be a place where God’s word is preached and lives are transformed in Christ Jesus. Each week on Sunday, we gather to hear the word of God proclaimed.
TODAY
Today church looks very different and very similar at the same time. Our church is made of a diverse group of people but we still worship the same God and long for people to find new life in Jesus.
